1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to DailyDriverAdvocate.com and any pages or tools we operate that link to it. It covers information collected through the site itself and through the third-party measurement tools we use to understand traffic, site performance, and user behavior.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect information you provide directly, such as messages you send through contact forms or email, along with information collected automatically when you visit the site.
Automatically collected information can include page views, referral data, device and browser information, approximate location, usage patterns, interaction events such as clicks and scrolling, and cookie or similar identifiers used by our analytics tools.
3. How We Use Information
We use collected information to measure traffic, understand how readers navigate our content, improve page performance, diagnose technical problems, and maintain the quality of our research and publishing workflow.
Where required, we use consent controls before loading analytics or behavior-measurement tools that set cookies or process personal data.
4. Third-Party Services We Use
We disclose the following services because they may collect or process data when you use the site.
Google Analytics 4
Traffic measurement
We use Google Analytics 4 on this website to measure traffic, understand how readers use our pages, diagnose performance issues, and improve our research and publishing workflow. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies to collect information about site usage, including page views, session statistics, referral information, approximate geolocation, browser/device information, and cookie or similar identifiers.
Information collected through Google Analytics may be transmitted to and processed by Google in accordance with Google's terms and privacy documentation. Google says Analytics mainly uses first-party cookies for website measurement, including identifiers used to distinguish users and sessions. Google also states that Google Analytics customers are prohibited from sending personally identifiable information to Google Analytics.
Our Google Analytics disclosure is for site measurement. If we enable GA4 advertising features, such as Google signals, remarketing, Google Ads integrations, or ads-personalization features, Google may collect advertising identifiers or combine Analytics information with data from other Google services and advertising cookies, subject to Google's controls and any consent requirements that apply.
For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy, its Google Analytics data protection information, and Google's Analytics privacy disclosures guidance.
Google Tag Manager
Tag delivery and diagnostics
Google Tag Manager is used to deploy and manage tags. Google says GTM may collect aggregated diagnostic data about tag firing for system stability, performance, and installation quality. Google also says it does not collect, retain, or share visitor page URLs or other visitor information beyond standard HTTP request logs, which are deleted within 14 days. For Google's privacy information, see the Tag Manager data privacy and security.
Microsoft Clarity
Behavior analytics and session replay
We partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to capture how you use and interact with our website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay to improve and market our products/services. Website usage data is captured using first and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of products/services and online activity. Additionally, we use this information for site optimization, fraud/security purposes, and advertising. For more information about how Microsoft collects and uses your data, visit the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The site and the services we use may place cookies or similar identifiers in your browser. Those identifiers may be used to recognize returning visitors, connect page views within a session, measure performance, or support site functionality.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. You may also use Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or manage ad personalization through Google My Ad Center. In jurisdictions where consent is required, we will use our consent controls and third-party consent integrations as appropriate before enabling non-essential tracking.
6. Sharing, Retention, and Your Choices
When these tools are enabled, data may be processed by Google or Microsoft in accordance with their own terms and privacy statements, including the Google Analytics data protection information and the Clarity site and privacy disclosure. We do not sell personal information in the ordinary sense of the word.
We retain site records only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, to operate the site, or to meet legal and administrative obligations.
7. Related Disclosures
This policy is reviewed alongside our other institutional disclosures. For related pages, see our Legal Notice and Research Methodology.
